Machine Spirit Level or Inclinometer µLevel

µLevel is a very exact (1µm/m) spirit level (or inclinometer) . Gravity is the reference like with all spirit levels. It is a superb aid for the measurement of machine level and straightness in the vertical plane.

You can use it as a stand alone instrument, in combination with a software which guilds you through the steps and documents the results. You can also use two µlevels at the same time. Where one of them serves as a continuous reference.

You can also store the measurements in the unit and connect it up to the software afterwards.

When dealing with instruments which measures µm/meters you must not forget that the earth is not flat. Sound silly but we are often dealing with applications over a length of 10-20 meters. The curvature of the earth must then be taken into account when using systems with a gravitational reference.
